Honey Bacon Pig Shots

The ultimate tailgate snack! These heavenly flavor bombs are sure to be a hit at your next get together. Each bite is loaded with ample flavor! We are talking about bacon wrapped kielbasa sausage shots filled with a devilishly delicious cheese. How could you not like that?

Overview:

PREP TIME: 15 min

TIME: ~1.5 Hours

SERVES: 4-6

WOOD TYPE: Cherry, Pecan or Hickory

Ingredients:

Holy Smokers Honey Bacon Hog BBQ
10 oz thin sliced bacon
12 oz Andoullie or
Kielbasa Sausage
1 PKG Cubed Pepper
Jack Cheese

 

How to make it:

  1. Slice bacon in half, then slice sausage into finger-width pieces (roughly 1 inch thick).

  2. Wrap 1 half slice of bacon around 1 piece of sausage so it forms a shot glass & secure with a toothpick.

  3. Season liberally with Honey Bacon Hog & repeat until all pieces of sausage are wrapped & heavenly seasoned.

  4. Set the smoker to 225 degrees F. Place the pig shots onto a wire rack & in the smoker over indirect heat for 1 hour or until golden brown with the bacon fully cooked.

  5. Lastly, add the Cubed Pepper Jack Cheese over the top of each pigshot and place back until cheese melts. 

  1. Pull off & let them cool for a few minutes before removing the toothpicks. Enjoy!
