Ingredients:

  • 3–4 lb brisket (seasoned with Holy Smokers Brisket & Holy Heifer Rub)
  • Olive oil as binder
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Brisket Rub (SPG + Hickory Smoke Flavor)
  • 14.5 oz beef broth can
  • 16 oz water
  • Louie’s 3 oz Au Jus seasoning
  • 1 sweet onion, thinly sliced
  • French rolls or hoagie rolls
  • Provolone cheese
  • Bowl for au jus dipping

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Brisket:
Generously season the brisket with Holy Smokers Brisket Rub, ensuring full coverage. Allow the brisket to rest for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors infuse. Smoke or cook the brisket low and slow (full guide available). For smoking, maintain a temperature of 225°F and cook for 8–12 hours until the brisket reaches an internal temperature of 203°F and is probe-tender. Once cooked, slice or chop the brisket into bite-sized pieces.

  2. Caramelize the Onion:
Heat olive oil and butter in a pan over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until they are soft and lightly caramelized.

  3. Make the Au Jus:
In an aluminum pan, combine water, beef broth, and Louie’s Au Jus seasoning mix. Whisk until fully blended. Add the caramelized onions to the mixture. Place the pan on the smoker or in the oven at 350°F to simmer gently. After 25 minutes, add the brisket to the au jus mixture to soak up the flavors.

  4. Assemble the Brisket French Dip:
Butter your bread of choice and grill it until golden brown. Top the bread with provolone cheese, followed by a generous layer of brisket and caramelized onions. Prepare a small bowl of au jus for dipping.

  5. Serve and Enjoy:
Serve these Smoky Brisket French Dip sandwiches immediately while hot and melty!

This indulgent plate of Smoked Brisket French Dip will Bless Your Tastebuds with the perfect balance of smoky and savory goodness!
