Smoked Carne Asada

Make an incredibly flavored citrus dish so juicy & packed full of smokey flavor that no one can turn this down. Enjoy this quick and simple meal!

Ingredients:

Holy Smokers Spicy Steak or Ultimate Steak

3 oranges, juiced

2 lemons, juiced

4 limes, juiced

4 Cloves garlic, minced

1/2 Cup chopped cilantro

3/4 jalapeño, minced

1/4 Cup olive oil

1 Teaspoon Kosher salt

2 Pound Chuck Roast

Our carne asada

How to make it:

  1. Rub the steak down on all sides with olive oil.
  2. Liberally apply Holy Smokers Spicy Steak to all sides of steak and add to a gallon zip lock bag.
  3. Combine all other ingredients into the gallon zip lock bag and let sit in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or 24 hours for maximum flavor absorbed.
  4. When time, remove from fridge and let sit for 30 minutes and apply more Holy Smokers Spicy Steak as needed.
  5. Start smoker/grill and set to 225 degrees. When grill is ready, lay the Chuck Roast on the smoker leaving minced garlic, jalapeño & cilantro on roast.
  6. Smoke/grill for 45 minutes to an hour. Pull off and kick smoker/grill up to 400.
  7. When grill reaches the desired temperature, sear each side of the steak for 3-4 minutes or until meat reaches an internal temperature of 135 internal for medium-rare.
